Shire Shred is an awesome gathering for youth of the shire that embodies exploring whats possible. An opportunity to learn practical wellness tools to help become more self aware and empowered. 2023 will be our 3rd event of its kind. 

Hosted by mental health advocate Blake Johnston and his wife Lauren of Cronulla Surfing Academy the day will blend live music, surf comps, learn to surf sessions, skateboarding, SurfPaints Art clinics with breathwork, ice baths, and gratitude workshops.

Shire Shred Event Schedule

Cronulla Surfing Academy will be running FREE Learn to Surf Lessons to give groms the opportunity to surf with Cronullas best surf coaches. All equipment is included. Registration is essential. We cant wait to froth with you!

A highlight of the event will be our One Wave Surf comp for groms aged 6 to 16 years. The comp will have 5 divisions – Groms Under 10 (Mixed) with parents assist, Girls Under 13, Girls Under 16, Boys Under 13 and Boys Under 16.

Each division will surf twice with their highest scoring wave from each heat tallied for their total. One Wave is all it takes! 

Registration for the surf comp is essential. Heat draws will be finalised Friday 16. All participants will receive a comp tee and have the chance to win some epic prizes.

There is a $50 registration fee which includes a donation of $5 to @OneWave

Shire Shred Demo Day

Triple Bull are bringing the biggest Board Demo Day Sydney has ever seen! You are invited to come have a chat to the brands and take that board you’ve always wanted to try before you buy for a shred. 

*Credit card and drivers license required at registration on the day. Bring your phone for QR code signup. Under 18’s must be registered buy an adult.

Shire Shred welcomes Jimmy Tranter and Nathan Ho to host our Breath Work and Ice Bath sessions. These sessions will give a little intro into the power of breath and the benefits of cold water therapy, giving groms and their parents some skills they can use in their daily life to calm, energise and get the most out of their everyday.

Kids and parents are welcome. Bookings are essential.

Good Human Factor

Cooper Chapman from the Good Human Factory will be joining us to run a gratitude workshop with the groms. Cooper delivers an educational skills-based workshop that will leave participants feeling empowered to implement healthy daily habits to improve their mental health.
